Snowshoeing and winter walking on the Seiser Alm

Undisturbed nature, incredible views over the Dolomites and the peaks of the Sasso Lungo, the Sasso Piatto, the Sciliar and the Catinaccio, so many sunny winter days… Snow lovers will find everything they could wish for on a snowshoe walk or winter hike through the Seiser Alm holiday area. The tour network covers 60 kilometres of perfectly groomed winter hiking trails and 50 kilometres of marked snowshoe trails and is in the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Reserve.

One particularly popular destination for snowshoe walks in the Dolomites is the Tires al Catinaccio area: Whether you opt for a tour in the rustic Val Ciamin Valley, a leisurely tour, or a demanding Alpine excursion, the area provides something to suit every taste.

Alongside the beauty of the countryside, those who head out on winter hikes and snowshoe expeditions are equally well catered-for in terms of cuisine: Numerous mountain cabins alongside the trails offer excellent refreshments, and some are also open on moonlight expeditions. The avalanche-safe trails ensure safe winter fun and, if you would like to embark on a snowshoe expedition but lack experience, you can place your trust in an expert walking or mountain guide. Snowshoes can be rented directly on site.
