Both in the mountain pastures and in the holiday villages Siusi, Fiè and Castelrotto, there is always something going on. Music, culture and culinary delicacies in all their facets: this is how varied the events are in and around Alpe di Siusi /Seiser Alm.
The Dolomites and South Tyrol offer holidaymakers plenty of attractions and unique experiences. Unfortunately, the holiday season is often too short to see everything that the travel guide recommends.
To make your choice easier, we have selected a number of highlights for your stay in the Dolomites in South Tyrol.
Oswald von Wolkenstein ride
Every year in June, the villages below Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm host South Tyrol's biggest horseback riding event. 36 teams participate in the Wolkenstein ride, in four challenging equestrian tournaments that are fascinating to watch for the spectators. The final competition and award ceremony take place at Presule/Prösels Castle.
Kastelruther Spatzen are one of the most popular music bands in the area. Their music attracts fans from all over the world to their concerts. Every year, the big open air concert takes place in July, and the band host their very own festival in the neighboring village of Castelrotto/Kastelruth in October. For true fans and music lovers!
Sciliar/Schlern International Music Festival
In July, the village of Fiè allo Sciliar/Völs am Schlern and the region of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm are filled with the sound of classical music. Young talents from all over the world come here to complete their last steps into professionalism, while churches and chapels host high-quality performances.
Völser Kuchlkastl culinary festival
The annual Kuchlkastl festival in Fiè allo Sciliar/Völs am Schlern puts traditional South Tyrolean cuisine in the center of the visitor's attention in October. The master chefs always come up with particularly tasteful and original creations for this event.
Swing on Snow
At the end of January, traditional folk music concerts and jazz performances are hosted in the huts and villages. Music bands from all over the Alpine area come to our region to demonstrate an impressively varied repertoire that consists of folk music, jazz, soul, pop and classical music.
